Welcome to my page. I am Loren John. My clan is the Water Edge People, born for the Meadow People. I am originally from Coyote Canyon, New Mexico but am currently residing in Mescalero, New Mexico.

I decided to create this blog to help me through my struggle with a language that I was once fluent in as a small child. Navajo used to come to me easily, but as I grew older, the language began to slowly fade until I recently rekindled my want to relearn it.

I used to be conversational in Navajo, but it is slowly slipping. A recent run in with an old Elementary School teacher reaffirmed my worst fears when I realized that I can understand everything that she is telling me, but I could barely even converse with her in the language.

Please, any comments and suggestions corrections in my grammar is greatly appreciated. I hope through this blog, the language I still can understand fully will not slowly fade into a memory and help me to better understand fully the potential of and capability of my mental knowledge.

With this goal in mind, I will try to use both Navajo and English to convey my message. This will be tough, but I know, it will all be worth the trouble…

    Hello –

Northern Light Productions is creating media for the Utah Museum of Natural History. We have some footage of a Navajo woman speaking in Navajo which we are hoping to get transcribed to English as soon as possible. It is not very long and you will be compensated for your work. Please let me know if you are available to transcribe from Navajo to English as soon as possible. We have had trouble finding anyone so your help would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks ! I hope to hear from you soon,

feel free to email me: michaela@nlprod.com
